Manual logging is only as reliable as the person doing it and the schedule they’re keeping to — a missed round, a reading taken but not escalated, or a fault that starts between rounds all mean the same thing: the loss is already underway by the time anyone knows about it. It also produces a record that’s easy to dispute — handwritten or spreadsheet logs don’t carry the same weight with a client or auditor as a continuous, timestamped system record.

What this achieves

What this doesn’t claim
This doesn’t replace the cooling equipment itself — a genuinely undersized or failing compressor is a mechanical problem this monitors and alarms on, not one it fixes. It also doesn’t remove the need for a documented response procedure once an alarm fires; the system tells you something needs attention, the facility’s own process determines what happens next.
